ACS, UK: Design
and manufacture of a fully automated, computer controlled trolley
system for a textile engraving and printing company. In this case, an
electrically driven, 1500-pound trolley travels on rails across the
plant floor, stopping at a series of 42 vats for a precise injection of
dye from each. From there it is shunted to a batch mixer and thence to
the production line, all without human interface.

Project management and electrical, mechanical, and process control
design for nuclear pilot plant that processes depleted uranium.
Provided utilities to various proprietary equipment utilizing 480V,
3-phase busway, motor starters, transformers, HEPA filtering, argon
gas, propane gas, and chilled water. Designed piping, ducting, vent
hoods, special high-temperature material handling equipment, and powder
handling equipment.

E.l. duPont de Nemours Co., R & D Division, Wilmington, DE: Design
and manufacture of explosion-proof machinery for processing, mixing,
and grinding of highly volatile material; design of complete process
control, piping systems, and tank farm. Design and construction
management of building to contain the new facility.
Electroswitch Corporation, Raleigh, NC: 192 Pogo Pin Rotary Switch Test Fixture, production and assembly fixtures.
General Battery Corporation, Reading, PA:
Developed prototype design concepts for storage battery container
endwalls. The redesigned endwalls allowed battery internals to meet
shock and vibration test requirements. Provided consultation and
analyses for prototype battery carrying handle design. Designs
considered non-linear properties of several types of plastics over
extreme temperature ranges. Follow-up testing verified analytical
predictions and design adequacy.
