Pantech
has a long and varied background in structural engineering. From heavy
industry to Disney World, where we designed highly specialized
structures, our designs have covered the spectrum of construction
materials, including reinforced concrete, masonry, structural steel,
light gage metal, aluminum, fiberglass, and composites. We have
designed unique structures subjected to extremely high wind loads and
have done computer modeling using finite element analysis techniques.
We have provided strategic planning, construction documentation,
estimating, value engineering, economic analysis, and construction
management for numerous heavy industrial as well as commercial and
institutional projects. One of our strong suits lies in the field of
foundations for unusual structures and for problem soils. For example,
we performed a vibration study for a German company's large machine
whose complex, high amplitude vibrations were destroying foundations
and buildings in the United States, Europe, and the Far East. We then
designed an isolated, floating foundation within a foundation,
utilizing multi-layered, waffled neoprene pads at carefully calculated
points. At last report, all machines were operating satisfactorily.
